Cinnabon Rebrand + Packaging
I rebranded the baked goods retailer Cinnabon with the goal of establishing a playful, energetic, and youthful look. My concept targets the Gen Z audience, reimagining the brand for the beyond the traditional mall retali space, and expanding into the market of online ordering and delivery.
I researched food service brands, developed moodboards, designed a logo and graphic system, and applied them to packaging and marketing materials for the brand. This is a student project.
The logo reflects the softness of the brand's signature cinnamon rolls. Pointed tips on the C and B are inspired by the tips of freshly spread icing.
The imagery was inspired by Seattle, the location of the original Cinnabon bakery. Each illustration contains reference to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
Packaging
I designed individual cinnamon roll boxes, a half-dozen box, beverage cups, cup sleeves, a carry-out bag, and an icing container.
The speedy snail is one of my favorite visual assets from this project. Its shell references the spiral of a cinnamon roll, and its speed represents the hyper energy associated with enjoying delicious sweets.
